GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

All of our items are shipped via FedEx (some by UPS & USPS). Shipping costs are calculated on a per item basis. Anytime we can combine one order of multiple products into the same box, we will do so and calculated the lower shipping costs accordingly.

To use our online ordering system, you must provide a complete street address As FedEx / UPS cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. They will attempt 3 times to deliver your order. If no one is at your address a notice will be left where you must pick up your order.

Please allow 48 hours for order processing and packaging, in addition to shipping delivery times shown. All shipments are carefully packaged and triple checked for accuracy. Shortages are extremely rare.

All FedEx & UPS orders will be shipped “signature required” for your protection. If you are not there you’ll need to pick up your order at the carrier’s closest facility to avoid additional shipping harges.

Claims for shortages or incorrect parts must be made within 24 hours after receipt of goods. Check your packaging and order carefully.

PAYMENTS: We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards as well as PAYPAL processed  through our secure gateway system via Authorize.net and / or PayPal.

APPLICABALE WARRANTY POLICIES – All of A Lost Art’s  handicrafts are individually made by artisans across the globe.  Each piece is handmade and may very slightly in size and color from that of the picture shown.  Please note that all items sold are handicrafts and pieces of art and are not toys and not intended for children ages 3 and under.  If items come in “broken or chipped,” please notify the FedEx driver and / or company immediately. You can also e-mail us at webcontact@alostart.com upon arrival of a product that had shipping issues.

CANCELLATION – Our items are shipped within 24-48 hours of receiving the order. If you wish to cancel the order after placing it online, you must do so within that same day by e-mailing us at webcontact@alostart.com or calling us at 323-930-0278.

REFUNDS / EXCHANGE – All sales are final, but if a customer is intending to do an exchange, the customer will have to return the item in the same condition it was received in and the customer will have to pay for return shipping charges with tracking and insurance. If you need to return or exchange an item, please send it to us within 15 days of purchase. Please make sure the product is in like-new condition with original packing materials. For faster service, write "A Lost Art - RETURN" on the outside of the package. For your protection, please send your returned item prepaid via a shipping service that can be tracked, such as UPS, FedEx or USPS insured. Please be sure to keep your shipping receipt. We cannot guarantee refunds for returns sent via a non-trackable method.

Guarantee: We take pride in knowing that you are completely satisfied with your purchase or gift. If you find that you are not satisfied for any reason, you are welcome to return your purchase for a full refund or credit (please note that shipping and handling charges can only be refunded if the return is due to our error).

Privacy Policy: We do not share your name, your email address, shipping address, phone number or any other personal information with anyone. All credit card numbers are accepted over a secure, encrypted connection and we do not store them on our web site. We do send email to our customers about special offers from time to time. When you create your account, you can choose to opt out of these communications. If you already have an account and do not wish to receive future communications from us, please send us a message with your request.

 

GROUND SHIPMENTS

FedEx is normally the fastest and most economical method for delivery service.

Multiple package orders are numbered and picked up by FedEx the same day. Occasionally, FedEx will deliver all but one package. This missing parcel will normally show up the following day.

AIR SHIPMENTS; NEXT DAY AIR SHIPMENTS

Same Day Rush Air Service is available by adding a $10.00 service charge to your invoice, plus the shipping charges. To use our Rush Service, the order must be placed by phone between 8:00AM-11:00AM, Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. Saturday delivery is available at most locations by FedEx.

AIR SHIPMENTS; TWO DAY AIR SHIPMENTS

Faster than Ground Service, packages going by Two Day Air are normally delivered in two business days after shipment to all of the contiguous 48 United States and some parts of Alaska and Hawaii.

REFUSED ORDERS

If a shipment is refused or unclaimed, freight charges, both outbound and inbound, plus a handling charge will be deducted from your deposit before a refund will be made.

LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

All merchandise shall be considered delivered to the purchaser when it is transferred to a carrier and consigned to the purchaser.

All merchandise has been inspected twice and insured prior to shipment. Merchandise that is damaged in transit is the sole responsibility of the carrier. It is your responsibility to start the claims process immediately after delivery.

INSURANCE ON ALL SHIPMENTS

On orders of $100.00 and less there is no charge for insuring your packages. On FedEx, there will be an insurance fee of $2.50 for the first $500.00 of value and an additional $.50 per $100.00 thereafter.

EXCHANGES / RETURNS

Please do not order any item from this web site that you do not intend to keep. WE DO NOT SELL MERCHANDISE ON APPROVAL OR HAVE A FREE TRIAL PERIOD. It costs money to process, package and ship orders. Unless we ship incorrectly, there will be a 25% minimum restock charge assessment. Requests for exchanges must be made within ten days from receipt of your order. All sales are final after 30 days. SORRY, BUT FREIGHT IS AN OUTSIDE SERVICE AND NOT REFUNDABLE.

ALL RETURNS MUST RECEIVE PRIOR WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION. You will receive a merchandise return label for each package. Items returned without an ORANGE A Lost Art R.A.N. LABEL or sent COD will be refused by our receiving department and will cancel your return number. All merchandise must be in new and unused condition,  and must be in their ORIGINAL PACKAGING.  All items must include a copy of your invoice and have to be sent prepaid.
